Riverside First Church of God believes very strongly in the importance of caring for and teaching our children. The children's ministry is divided as follows:

Kids Worship

Each Sunday we hold Kids Worship during our worship Service, which is held from 10:45 to 11:30. The Children are prayed over and dismissed after the praise and worship time and spend approximately 45 minutes participating in a variety of activities focused on teaching them more about the Bible, at their level. The activities include things like lessons, games, snacks, videos, crafts, songs and puppets. We use KidsOwn Worship material from Group publishing, which is the same company that provid es our Faithweaver class material. Group publishing has designed their lessons in a way that allows you to weave together Faithweaver and KidsOwn Worship to further the Christian growth of our children. Children ages 2½ to 6 participate in Kids Worship each Sunday. When the adult worship service is about to conclude, the children are dismissed into the sanctuary to be with their parents, before the worship service has concluded. While our main objective is to teach children, a secondary goal and one that we feel is extremely important is to provide a safe and fun environment for the children so their parents can feel comfortable to give their full attention to the Pastor's message. With this in mind, we strive to make this 45 minutes a fun time that our Children look forward to each Sunday.

Nursery

Our nursery is in operation during the Faithweaver hour (8:45 a.m.), the morning worship service (10:00 a.m.), and Sunday evening "In-Depth Bible Study " (6:00 p.m.).  Newborns to 2½ years are welcome in our nursery. Our nursery staff ensures that all children receive individual attention, love and care at all times
