If we want someone to believe us, they will often ask for proof. It’s a logical request, especially if what we are asked to believe is beyond what we presently see. If someone says they can fix our car, we might want to see their shop, see their certifications, and hear from other people whose cars this person has fixed.
When we face trials, we are asked to have faith in a God we cannot see. So, how do we grow that faith into more than a whim? The bible has much to say about faith, and reading and hearing those passages can grow your faith. (Romans 10:17) The witness of what Jesus has already done for others can grow our faith. The experience of what God has done for us in our past can grow our faith. In fact, our trials (James 1:1-8) actually strengthen us as we practice our faith. This message can be a real faith-booster for those who are going through trials.
Romans 10:17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
