Is Our Faith Blind ?

“Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ – Isaiah 46:9-10

I have met people who trust everyone. They are constantly let down and hurt by others, yet they still have this “blind faith” in people. I am much more practical than that. I too have been hurt and betrayed and let-down by people I trusted, and I have faith in someone until they show me otherwise.

God has never let me down. I trust Him and I believe what He says. There have been times I have questioned Him, but I always come back to the same conclusion: There is no one so faithful as my God. Terrible trials have come, yet He stayed beside me for each battle. That’s why I say that my faith is NOT BLIND. He has proven Himself to me over and over.

In this message we will look at whether the Bible is authentic and other proofs of the reality of God’s existence and faithfulness. We will take a look at the Bible, our own experience, creation, answered prayer, and the survival and effectiveness of the church through times of persecution.

God is faithful and we need Him. Our experience with people and our experience with Him can’t be compared. If you need some reassurance that God is not dead, this is a good message for you.
