Living in God’s Grace

Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Have you ever received a gift and then received a bill for that gift? In my opinion, that was NOT a gift. Salvation is a gift that comes by grace. We couldn’t possibly be pure enough or good enough to deserve forgiveness and God’s favor. It is because He loves us so much more than we love Him. In fact, humanly, we couldn’t love as well as He does, yet we learn to love like Him by experiencing it. One result of receiving God’s grace is that we begin to show that kind of grace to others. Another result of realizing God’s grace is that we humble ourselves with God and others because we know that God gave us His grace and we never earned it.

This sermon will give you a greater understanding of what “grace” means and a greater ability to show that grace to others in our lives.
