Matthew 22:35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him (Jesus) with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
In this scripture, Jesus gives both a priority of life and the first steps to a fulfilling, successful, Godly life. In this message we’ll explore several things, including loving God in first place. We’ll also look at our ability to love others in light of whether or not we truly love and value ourselves in the way God wants us to. As we see our value as a child of God, we’ll better understand His instruction to love others. Putting Him first allows us to be filled with His love and to overflow with His love.
When is the last time you overflowed with His love?
