What to Expect

What can you expect during the Worship Service?

All experiences at Riverside Church are comprised of two main elements: powerful contemporary worship and a life-changing message. There are two worship service times each Sunday to choose from: 9:00 am and 10:30 am. At each weekend experience, everyone is engaged and encouraged in a practical way to take some kind of next step towards their walk with God.

How should you come dressed?

We believe God is more interested in what’s inside your heart than what you’re wearing so dress comfortably and join us this Sunday!

What does Riverside Church offer your family?

Our nursery is staffed by trained and screened volunteers. It is available during both morning worship services-9:00 am and 10:30 am.

Newborns to three years are welcome in the nursery. Our nursery staff ensures that all children receive individual attention, love and care at all times. The nursery is located in Room #103, or when you arrive, asks an usher for assistance.

Our RiverKids program allows children ages 4-11 to enjoy the teaching of God’s Word on their level.  They meet during the 10:30 am worship service. RiverKids for pre-kindergarten through first grade meet in ‘The Riverbank” classroom and RiverKids from second grade through fifth grade gather at “The Wharf”  on the main level of the church.

Where Do You Go?

There is ample parking in the front and on both sides of the building. Enter through the front doors and you will be greeted by some very friendly people who would love to assist you and your family find classrooms, the nursery and the worship center.

What is Non-Denominational?

There is no formal membership at Riverside Church. Individuals are assumed to be members on the basis of personal conversion and conduct that supports that conversion experience. This is consistent with the church’s understanding of how Christian unity is to be achieved-a unity based on spiritual agreement rather than creedal agreement.

The Church of God is congregational in its government. Ministers meet within state, regional, and national assemblies. In North America, the General Assembly, composed primarily of ministers but also including lay congregational delegates, meets in connection with the movement’s annual North American Convention held in Anderson, Indiana.
