Magnetic Church

Churches aren’t so popular anymore. Church has become just one more option. Other options include the lake, sleeping late, marathons, children’s sports… and the list goes on.
Through the month of August, we will explore how the church can attract the community around us to Jesus. We’ll look at why the church exists and what our mission should be.
I am not a fisherman. If the bass aren’t biting, I’m ready to go home. While a true fisherman is out there sincerely fishing, I’ve already arrived home and sitting in the recliner drinking a big glass of iced tea.
When Jesus told me to be a fisher-of-MEN, I caught the vision. In this sense, I AM a fisherman. I determine what I’ve found in Jesus that people need and I want to be a magnet, drawing people to Him.
